Anne Anspach has been involved in the local timber industry for some 28 years. She was the sole director and shareholder of Amazon Timbers, which was sold in 1994. During her 12 years of heading up Amazon Timbers, she acted as vice-president of the Timber and Allied Trades Association for several years. The Industry Association was disbanded in 1994. Subsequent to the sale of Amazon Timbers, she took over management and all operations of Woodstock Agencies.

She has many years of exposure in the market place and extensive knowledge of timber suppliers, distributors and manufacturers of the full spectrum of wooden products. Her knowledge of the various species is considerable, as she has had experience of sourcing, seasoning and marketing a large range of hardwoods over the years.

In order to capitalise on this experience, she has no formal ties to any specific supplier, manufacturer or consumer. It is therefore possible to ensure the correct product is procured at a competitive price for any particular application, according to a client’s specific requirements.

Due to the very specialised nature of the undertaking, all enquiries are attended to by Anne personally. This ensures total commitment to each project accepted. Great care is taken in selecting appropriate enterprises to supply, manufacture or execute contracts. Anne personally monitors progress and supervises quality control, to ensure timeous delivery and performance. No enquiry is too big or too small, but only those which are capable of being executed on the basis outlined are accepted.

No advertising is undertaken and the company relies on word-of-mouth referrals for its continuity.
